Number 3 Stuffie

Number 3 Stuffie in Lion Brand Wool-Ease.

I’m having so much fun making these number stuffie patterns for you guys. I hope you enjoy them as well!

Notes:

  • This pattern has not been tested. If you find any errors, please let me know by shooting me a DM on Instagram!
  • Numbers in parentheses at end of rows indicate total stitch count in those rows.
  • Ch 1 at start of row does not count as a stitch.
  • Each panel is created by starting at the base and working up through the top. To create the hanging part of the 3, you’ll rotate your panel and reattach your yarn.
  • Stuffie is constructed by making two identical panels and seaming together.

Tools and Yarn Needed:

Stitches Used:

  • Ch – chain

  • FSC – foundation single crochet

Fasten off after row 14. Go back to the stitch marker you left in bottom bumps of chain in row 27.
Rotate your panel 90 degrees and reattach yarn at stitch marker. We’ll do three more rows in this rotated position.

Row 27: sc 7, turn. (7)
Row 26: ch 1, sc 7, turn. (7)
Row 25: ch 1, dec, sc 3, dec. Fasten off. (5)

Making the face:

Attach safety eyes to your top panel about 3 stitches apart (mine are in row 30).
Using your black yarn, stitch a small mouth below the eyes.

Assembly:
Layer your pieces facing up with the second layer on top (so your stuffie is looking up at you). Using your working yarn, begin to SC around, putting 3 stitches in each corner. Stuff with polyfil as you go.

Sl st to first sc of border and fasten off.

Weave in your ends, and you’re finished! If you share on Instagram, please let me see by tagging #sarahsyarn or @sarahsyarn and using #numberstuffie.
